Spreadsheets use formulas like =SUM(B2:B9),which can be used to sum totals and tabulate values. They use an equal sign (=) to start off a formula to signal calculation. Another thing that spreadsheets use in their formulas are operands
It also uses automation to automatically sum up values, formats and things in that nature. Spreadsheets mainly use data types to organize cells. They also use them to enable specific operations, and manage their memory.
Spreadsheets use logic with using things within it like true or false ,IF,AND, and OR. They also use variables with cell references like(e.g.,A1) acting as variable, holding statistics that formulas use and update. I believe that the use of computer science concepts in spreadsheets make things easier and simpler for the people who are using spreadsheets.
